Devotional Acts at the niche of Imām ʿAlī(a)

At the site of the martyrdom of Imām ʿAlī^(a), you may engage in a two-unit prayer, incorporating Sūrah Fātiḥa and any additional Sūrah of your choosing. Following the conclusion of the prayer and tasbīḥ, you may proceed with the subsequent supplications:

يَا مَنْ أظْهَر الْجَمِيلَ وَسَتَرَ الْقَبِيحَ يَا مَنْ لَمْ يُؤْاخِذْ بِالْجَرِيرَةِ وَلَمْ يَهْتِكِ السِّتْرَ وَالسَّرِيرَةَ

yā man a¨hara aljam¢la wa satara alqab¢¦a yā man lam yu'ākhidh biljar¢rati wa lam yahtik alssitra walssar¢rata

O He Who makes known what is good and beautiful and covers up ugliness and defects! O He Who does not demand submission under duress and has not exposed the hidden and the unknown!

يَا عَظِيمَ الْعَفْوِ يَا حَسَنَ التَّجَاوُزِ يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ يَا بَاسِطَ الْيَدَيْنِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ

yā `a¨¢ma al`afwi yā ¦asana alttajāwuzi yā wāsi`a almaghfirati yā bāsi§a alyadayni bilrra¦mati

O He Who is the greatest pardoner! O He Who is the subtle indulgent! O He Whose forgiveness is limitless! O He Whose Hands are expansive with mercy!

يَا صَاحِبَ كُلِّ نَجْوَى يَا مُنْتَهَى كُلِّ شَكْوَى يَا كَرِيمَ الصَّفْحِ يَا عَظِيمَ الرَّجَاءِ

yā ¥ā¦iba kulli najwā yā muntahā kulli shakwā yā kar¢ma al¥¥af¦i yā `a¨¢ma alrrajā'i

O He Who is partner in every confidential speech! O He to Whom all complaints reach! O He Who is generous in clemency! O He in Whom all hopes are put!

يَا سَيِّدِي صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَافْعَلْ بِي مَا أنْتَ أهْلُهُ يَا كَرِيمُ

yā sayyid¢ ¥alli `alā mu¦ammadin wa āli mu¦ammadin waf`al b¢ mā anta ahluh£ yā kar¢mu

O my Master, send blessings upon Muḥammad and the Household of Muḥammad and do to me that which befits You, O All-generous!
