Ziyārat Imām Hādī^(a)

أأدْخُلُ يَا نَبِيَّ الله أأدْخُلُ يَا أمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أأدْخُلُ يَا فَاطِمَةُ الزَّهْرَاءُ سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ

a'adkhulu yā nabiyya allāhi a'adkhulu yā am¢ra almu'min¢na a'adkhulu yā fā§imatu alzzahrā’u sayyidata nisā'i al`ālam¢na

May I enter, O Prophet of Allāh? May I enter, O Commander of the Faithful? May I enter, O FĄ§imah the luminous and the doyenne of the women of the world?

أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ الْحَسَنُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

a'adkhulu yā mawlāya al¦asanu bna Alīyyin a'adkhulu yā mawlāya al¦usaynu bna Alīyyin

May I enter, O my master al-Ḥasan the son of ʿAlī? May I enter, O my master Al-Ḥusayn the son of ʿAlī?

أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ عَلِيُّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ جَعْفَرُ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ

a'adkhulu yā mawlāya Alīyyu bna al¦usayni a'adkhulu yā mawlāya mu¦ammadu bna Alīyyin a'adkhulu yā mawlāya Jaʿfaru bna mu¦ammadin

May I enter, O my master ʿAlī the son of Al-Ḥusayn? May I enter, O my master Muḥammad the son of ʿAlī? May I enter, O my master Jaʿfar the son of Muḥammad?

أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ مُوسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ عَلِيُّ بْنَ مُوسَى أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

a'adkhulu yā mawlāya mūsā bna Jaʿfarin a'adkhulu yā mawlāya Alīyyu bna mūsā a'adkhulu yā mawlāya mu¦ammadu bna Alīyyin

May I enter, O my master Mūsā the son of Jaʿfar? May I enter, O my master ʿAlī the son of Mūsā? May I enter, O my master Muḥammad the son of ʿAlī?

أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أبَا الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ أأدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أبَا مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

a'adkhulu yā mawlāya yā abā al¦asani Alīyyu bna mu¦ammadin a'adkhulu yā mawlāya yā abā mu¦ammadin al¦asanu bna Alīyyin

May I enter, O my master Abul-°asan ʿAlī the son of Muḥammad? May I enter, O my master AbŁ-Muḥammad al-Ḥasan the son of ʿAlī?

أأدْخُلُ يَا مَلاَئِكَةَ الله الْمُوَكَّلِينَ بِهذَا الْحَرَمِ الشَّرِيفِ

a'adkhulu yā malā'ikat aallāhi almuwakkal¢na bihādhā al¦arami alshshar¢fi

May I enter, O angels of Allāh whom are assigned to manage this holy sanctuary?

Allāh is the Most Great.

Allāhu akbar

اَلله أكْبَرُ

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أبَا الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّكِيُّ الرَّاشِدُ النُّورُ الثَّاقِبُ وَرَحْمَةُ الله وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

alssalāmu `alayka yā abā al¦asani Alīyyu bna mu¦ammadin alzzakiyyu alrrāshida alnn£ra alththāqiba wa ra¦matu allāhi wa barakātuh£

Peace be upon you, O Abul-Hasan ʿAlī the son of Muḥammad, the pious, right-directing, and brightly shining light. Allāhs mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِيَّ الله اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سِرَّ الله اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبْلَ الله

alssalāmu `alayka yā ¥afiyya allāhi alssalāmu `alayka yā sirra allāhi alssalāmu `alayka yā ¦abla allāhi

Peace be upon you, O sincerely attached friend of Allāh. Peace be upon you, O confidant of Allāh. Peace be upon you, O rope of Allāh.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا آلَ اللَّه اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خِيَرةَ اللَّه اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفْوَةَ الله

alssalāmu `alayka yā āla allāhi alssalāmu `alayka yā khiyarata allāhi alssalāmu `alayka yā ¥afwata allāhi

Peace be upon you, O household of Allāh. Peace be upon you, O select of Allāh. Peace be upon you, O choice of Allāh.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أمِينَ الله اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَقَّ الله اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبِيبَ الله

alssalāmu `alayka yā am¢na allāhi alssalāmu `alayka yā ¦aqqa allāhi alssalāmu `alayka yā ¦ab¢ba allāhi

Peace be upon you, O trustee of Allāh. Peace be upon you, O proof of Allāh. Peace be upon you, O most-beloved by Allāh.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ الأنْوَارِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا زَيْنَ الأبْرَارِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَلِيلَ الأخْيَارِ

alssalāmu `alayka yā n£raal-anwāri alssalāmu `alayka yā zayna al-abrāri alssalāmu `alayka yā sal¢la al-akhyāri

Peace be upon you, O light of the lights. Peace be upon you, O pride of the virtuous ones. Peace be upon you, O descendant of the upright ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عُنْصُرَ الأطْهَارِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ الرَّحْمنِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رُكْنَ الإِيـمَانِ

alssalāmu `alayka yā `un¥ura al- athāri alssalāmu `alayka yā ¦ujjata alrra¦māni alssalāmu `alayka yā rukna al-¢māni

Peace be upon you, O essence of the purified ones. Peace be upon you, O argument of the All-beneficent God. Peace be upon you, O essence of the true faith.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الصَّالِحِينَ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلَمَ الْهُدَى

alssalāmu `alayka yā mawlā almu'min¢na alssalāmu `alayka yā waliyya al¥¥āli¦¢na alssalāmu `alayka yā `alama alhudā

Peace be upon you, O master of the believers. Peace be upon you, O guardian of the righteous ones. Peace be upon you, O symbol of true guidance.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَلِيفَ التُّقَى اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَمُودَ الدِّينِ

alssalāmu `alayka yā ¦al¢fa alttuqā alssalāmu `alayka yā `am£da aldd¢ni

Peace be upon you, O ally of piety. Peace be upon you, O mainstay of the religion.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ

alssalāmu `alayka yabna khātami alnnabiyy¢na alssalāmu `alayka yabna sayyidi alwa¥iyy¢na

Peace be upon you, O son of the seal of the Prophets. Peace be upon you, O son of the chief of the Prophets successors.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ

alssalāmu `alayka yabna fā§imata alzzahrā'i sayyidati nisā'i al`ālam¢na

Peace be upon you, O son of FĄ§imah the Luminous and the doyenne of the women of the world.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الأمِينُ الْوَفِيُّ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْعَلَمُ الرَّضِيُّ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الزَّاهِدُ التَّقِيُّ

alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā al-am¢nu alwafiyyu alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā al`alamu alrra¤iyyu alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā alzzāhidu alttaqiyyu

Peace be upon you, O faithful trustee. Peace be upon you, O favorite epitome. Peace be upon you, O ascetic and pious.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْحُجَّةُ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ أجْمَعِينَ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا التَّالِي لِلْقُرْآنِ

alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā al¦ujjatu `alā alkhalqi ajma`¢na alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā alttāl¢ lilqur'āni

Peace be upon you, O decisive argument against all creatures. Peace be upon you, O succeeding of the Qur'Ąn.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْمُبَيِّنُ لِلْحَلاَلِ مِنَ الْحَرَامِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْوَلِيُّ النَّاصِحُ

alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā almubayyinu lil¦alāli min al¦arāmi alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā alwaliyyu alnnā¥i¦u

Peace be upon you, O distinguishing between the lawful and the unlawful. Peace be upon you, O sincere saint.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الطَّرِيقُ الْوَاضِحُ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا النَّجْمُ اللاَّئِحُ

alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā al§§ar¢qu alwā¤i¦u alssalāmu `alayka ayyuhā alnnajmu allā'i¦u

Peace be upon you, O evident course. Peace be upon you, O bright star.

أشْهَدُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أبَا الْحَسَنِ أنَّكَ حُجَّةُ الله عَلَى خَلْقِهِ وَخَلِيفَتُهُ فِي بَرِيَّتِهِ وَأمِينُهُ فِي بِلاَدِهِ وَشَاهِدُهُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ

ashhadu yā mawlāya yā abā al¦asani annaka ¦ujjatu allāhi `alā khalqih¢ wa khal¢fatuh£ f¢ bariyyatih¢ wa am¢nuh£ f¢ bilādih¢ wa shāhiduh£ `alā `ibādih¢

I bear witness, O my master Abul-°asan, that you are verily the decisive argument of Allāh against His creatures, His representative among His created beings, His trusted administrator in His lands, and His witness over His servants.

وَأشْهَدُ أنَّكَ كَلِمَةُ التَّقْوَى وَبَابُ الْهُدَى وَالْعُرْوَةُ الْوُثْقَى وَالْحُجَّةُ عَلَى مَنْ فَوْقَ الأرْضِ وَمَنْ تَحْتَ الثَّرَى

wa ashhadu annaka kalimatu alttaqwā wa bābu alhudā wal`urwatu alwuthqā wal¦ujjatu`alāmanfawqaal-ar¤i wa man ta¦ta altharā

I also bear witness that you are verily the word of piety, the door to true guidance, the Firmest Handle, and the evident proof against those who are on the earth and those who are beneath the layers of the soil.

وَأشْهَدُ أنَّكَ الْمُطَهَّرُ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ الْمُبَرَّأ مِنَ الْعُيُوبِ

wa ashhadu annaka almu§ahharu min aldhdhun£bi almubarra'u min al`uy£bi

I bear witness that you are purified from sins, cleaned against defects,

وَالْمُخْتَصُّ بِكَرَامَةِ الله وَالْمَحْبُوُّ بِحُجَّةِ الله وَالْمَوْهُوبُ لَهُ كَلِمَةُ الله

wal mukhta¥¥u bikarāmati allāhi wal ma¦ buwwu bi ¦ujjati allāhi wal mawh£bu lah£ kalimatu allāhi

bestowed with the honor of Allāh, endued with the proof of Allāh, granted the Word of Allāh,

وَالرُّكْنُ الَّذِي يَلْجَأ إِِلَيْهِ الْعِبَادُ وَتُحْيَى بِهِ الْبِلاَدُ

walrruknu alladh¢ yalja'u ilayhi al`ibādu wa tu¦yā bih¢ albilādu

and the stronghold to whom the servants (of Allāh) resort and by whom the lands are revived.

وَأشْهَدُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ أنِّي بِكَ وَبِآبَائِكَ وَأبْنَائِكَ مُوقِنٌ مُقِرٌّ

wa ashhadu yā mawlāya ann¢ bika wa bi'ābā'ika wa abnā’ika m£qinun muqirrun

I bear witness, O my master, that I have faith in and I submit to you, your forefathers and your sons,

وَلَكُمْ تَابِعٌ فِي ذَاتِ نَفْسِي وَشَرَايِعِ دِينِي وَخَاتِمَةِ عَمَلِي وَمُنْقَلَبِي وَمَثْوَايَ

wa lakum tābi`un f¢ dhāti nafs¢ wa sharāyi`i d¢n¢ wa khātimati `amal¢ wa munqalab¢ wa mathwāya

I follow all of you in my personal affairs, in my religious performance, in the seals of my deed, and in my return and final place.

وَأنِّي وَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالاَكُمْ وَعَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ بِسِرِّكُمْ وَعَلاَنِيَتِكُمْ وَأوَّلِكُمْ وَآخِرِكُمْ

wa ann¢ waliyyun liman wālākum wa `aduwwun liman `ādākum mu'minun bisirrikum wa `alāniyatikum wa awwalikum wa ākhirikum

I do show loyalty to your loyalists, I show enmity towards your enemies, I believe in all of the invisible and the visible, and the first and the last of you.

بِأبِي أنْتَ وَأمِّي وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ الله وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

bi'ab¢ anta wa umm¢ walssalāmu `alayka wa ra¦matu allāhi wa barakātuh£

May Allāh accept my father and mother as ransoms for you. Peace and Allāhs mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَصَلِّ عَلَى حُجَّتِكَ الْوَفِيِّ وَوَلِيِّكَ الزَّكِيِّ وَأمِينِكَ الْمُرْتَضَى

allāhumma ¥alli `alā mu¦ammadin wa āli mu¦ammadin wa¥alli` alā ¦ujjatika al wafiyyi wa waliyyika alzzakiyyi wa am¢nika almurta¤ā

O Allāh, (please do) send blessings upon Muḥammad and the Household of Muḥammad and send blessings upon Your faithful demonstrator, Your sagacious representative, Your well-pleased trustee,

وَصَفِيِّكَ الْهَادِي وَصِرَاطِكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ وَالْجَادَّةِ الْعُظْمَى وَالطَّرِيقَةِ الْوُسْطَى

wa¥afiyyikaalhād¢ wa¥irā§ika almustaq¢mi waljāddati al`u ̈mā wal§§ar¢qati alwus§ā

Your sincerely attached guide, Your Right Path, the most important approach, the just and equitable course,

نُورِ قُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَوَلِيِّ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَصَاحِبِ الْمُخْلِصِينَ

n£riqul£bialmu'min¢na wa waliyyi almuttaq¢na wa ¥ā¦ibi almukhli¥¢na

the light of the faithful believers hearts, the friend of the pious ones, and the comrade of the sincere.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَأهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَصَلِّ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allāhumma ¥alli `alā sayyidinā mu¦ammadinwaahlibaytih¢ wa ¥alli `alā Alīyyi bni mu¦ammadin

O Allāh, (please do) send blessings upon our Master Muḥammad and upon his Household and send blessings upon ʿAlī the son of Muḥammad,

الرَّاشِدِ الْمَعْصُومِ مِنَ الزَّلَلِ وَالطَّاهِرِ مِنَ الْخَلَلِ وَالْمُنْقَطِعِ إِِلَيْكَ بِالأمَلِ

alrrāshidi alma`¥£mi min alzzalali wal§§āhiri min alkhalali walmunqa§i`i ilayka bil-amali

the rightly-directing, the infallible guide, the free from defects, who, putting hope in You, kept himself aloof from temptations,

الْمَبْلُوِّ بِالْفِتَنِ وَالْمُخْتَبَرِ بِالْمِحَنِ وَالْمُمْتَحَنِ بِحُسْنِ الْبَلْوَى وَصَبْرِ الشَّكْوَى

almabluwwi bilfitani walmukhtabari bilmi¦ani walmumta¦ani bi¦usni albalwā wa¥abri alshakwā

who was tried (by You) through seditious matters, who was tested (by You) through tribulations, who was examined (by You) through acting excellently towards misfortunes, and through steadfastness against complaining;

مُرْشِدِ عِبَادِكَ وَبَرَكَةِ بِلاَدِكَ وَمَحَلِّ رَحْمَتِكَ ومُسْتَوْدَعِ حِكْمَتِكَ

murshidi`ibādika wa barakati bilādika wa ma¦alli ra¦matika wa mustawda`i ¦ikmatika

(he is) the spiritual guide of Your servants, the blessing for Your lands, the destination of Your mercy, the hoarder of Your wisdom,

وَالْقَائِدِ إِلَى جَنَّتِكَ الْعَالِمِ فِي بَرِيَّتِكَ وَالْهَادِي فِي خَلِيقَتِكَ

walqā'idi ilā jannatika al`ālimi f¢ bariyyatika walhād¢ f¢ khal¢qatika

the leader to Your Paradise, the all-knowledgeable among Your created beings, the true guide of Your creatures,

الَّذِي ارْتَضَيْتَهُ وَانْتَجَبْتَهُ وَاخْتَرْتَهُ لِمَقَامِ رَسُولِكَ فِي أمَّتِهِ وَألْزَمْتَهُ حِفْظَ شَرِيعَتِهِ

alladh¢ irta¤aytah£ wantajabtah£ wakhtartah£ limaqāmi ras£lika f¢ ummatih¢ waalzamtah£¦if ̈ashar¢`atih¢

whom You pleased, preferred, selected to take the place of Your Prophet among his people, and bounded with the guardianship of his laws.

فَاسْتَقَلَّ بِأعْبَاءِ الْوَصِيَّةِ نَاهِضاً بِهَا ومُضْطَلِعاً بِحَمْلِهَا

fastaqalla bi ‘a`bā'i alwa¥iyyati nāhi¤an bihā wa mu¤§ali`an bi ¦amlihā

So, he accomplished the onerous task of representation (of the Prophet), carrying it perfectly, and undertaking the responsibility of bearing it.

لَمْ يَعْثُرْ فِي مُشْكِلٍ وَلاَ هَفَا فِي مُعْضِلٍ بَلْ كَشَفَ الْغُمَّةَ وَسَدَّ الْفُرْجَةَ وَأدَّى الْمُفْتَرَضَ

lam ya`thur f¢ mushkilin walā hafā f¢ mu`¤ilin bal kashafa alghummata wa sadda alfurjata wa addā almuftara¤a

He neither slipped in any problematic action nor did he fail to solve any complexity. Rather, he relieved all agonies, sealed the loopholes, and fulfilled the required.

اَللَّهُمَّ فَكَمَا أقْرَرْتَ نَاظِرَ نَبِيِّكَ بِهِ فَرَقِّهِ دَرَجَتَهُ وَأجْزِلْ لَدَيْكَ مَثُوبَتَهُ وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ

allāhumma fakamā aqrarta nā ̈ira nabiyyika bih¢ faraqqih¢ darajatah£ wa ajzil ladayka math£batah£ wa ¥alli `alayhi

O Allāh, just as You made him a source of delight for Your Prophet, so also (please) raise him to the most elevated position, give him the most fitting reward that suits him, bless him,

وَبَلِّغْهُ مِنَّا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلاَماً وَآتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ فِي مُوَالاَتِهِ فَضْلاًَ وَإِِحْسَاناً وَمَغْفِرَةً وَرِضْوَاناً إِِنَّكَ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

wa ballighhu minnā ta¦iyyatan wa salāman wa ātinā min ladunka f¢ muwālātih¢ fa¤lan wa i¦sānan wa maghfiratan wa ri¤wānan innaka dh£ alfa¤li al`a ̈¢m

convey our greetings and salutations to him, and give us, on account of our love for him, from You bounties, favors, amnesty, and approval. Verily, You are the Lord of superabundant favors.

يَا ذَا الْقُدْرَةِ الْجَامِعَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ الْوَاسِعَةِ وَالْمِنَنِ الْمُتَتَابِعَةِ

yā dhā alqudrati aljāmi`ati walrra¦mati alwāsi`ati walminani almutatābi`ati

O Lord of omnipotent power! O Lord of all-inclusive mercy! O Lord of successive favors!

وَالآلاَءِ الْمُتَوَاتِرَةِ وَالأيَادِي الْجَلِيلَةِ وَالْمَوَاهِبِ الْجَزِيلَةِ

wal-ālā'i almutawātirati wal-ayād¢ aljal¢lati walmawāhibialjaz¢lati

O Lord of uninterrupted bounties! O Lord of magnificent bestowals! O Lord of abundant conferrals!

صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّادِقِينَ وَأعْطِنِي سُؤْلِي وَاجْمَعْ شَمْلِي وَلُمَّ شَعْثِي وَزَكِّ عَمَلِي

¥alli `alā mu¦ammadin wa āli mu¦ammadin al¥¥ādiq¢na wa a`§in¢ su'l¢ wajma` shaml¢ wa lumma sha`ath¢ wa zakki `amal¢

(Please do) send blessings upon Muḥammad and the Household of Muḥammad the veracious ones, grant me that which I ask from You, re-unify me (with my family), unite me (with my family), purify my deeds,

وَلاَ تُزِغْ قَلْبِي بَعْدَ إِِذْ هَدَيْتَنِي وَلاَ تُزِلَّ قَدَمِي وَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ أبَداً

wa lā tuzigh qalb¢ ba`da idh hadaytan¢ wa lā tuzilla qadam¢ wa lā takiln¢ ilā nafs¢ §arfata `aynin abadan

cause not my heart to stray after You have guided me, cause not my footstep to slip, never refer me to myself even for a time as short as a wink of an eye,

وَلاَ تُخَيِّبْ طَمَعِي وَلاَ تُبْدِ عَوْرَتِي وَلاَ تَهْتِكْ سِتْرِي

wa lā tukhayyib §ama`¢ wa lā tubdi `awrat¢ wa lā tahtik sitr¢

disappoint not my desire, expose not my private parts, disclose not my covering,

وَلاَ تُوحِشْنِي وَلاَ تُؤْيِسْنِي وَكُنْ بِي رَؤُوفاً رَحِيماً وَاهْدِنِي وَزَكِّنِي

wa lā t£¦ishn¢ wa lā tu’yisn¢ wa kun b¢ ra'£fan ra¦¢man wahdin¢ wa zakkin¢

cause me not to feel lonely, despair me not, be to me kind and merciful, guide me (to the right path), make me grow,

وَطَهِّرْنِي وَصَفِّنِي وَاصْطَفِنِي وَخَلِّصْنِي وَاسْتَخْلِصْنِي وَاصْنَعْنِي وَاصْطَنِعْنِي

wa §ahhirn¢ wa ¥affin¢ wa¥§afin¢ wa khalli¥n¢ wastakhli¥n¢ wa¥na`n¢ wa¥§ani`n¢

purify me, cleanse me, dedicate me to You, select me, render me suitable, arrange me for You alone, attach me to Yourself,

وَقَرِّبْنِي إِِلَيْكَ وَلاَ تُبَاعِدْنِي مِنْكَ وَالْطُفْ بِي وَلاَ تَجْفُنِي وَأكْرِمْنِي وَلاَ تُهِنِّي

wa qarribn¢ ilayka wa lā tubā`idn¢ minka wal§uf b¢ wa lā tajfun¢ wa akrimn¢ wa lā tuhinn¢

draw me near You, take me not far away from You, be kind to me, do not turn away from me, honor me, do not humiliate me,

وَمَا أسْألُكَ فَلاَ تَحْرِمْنِي وَمَا لاََ أسْألُكَ فَاجْمَعْهُ لِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

wa mā as'aluka fa lā ta¦rimn¢ wa mā las'aluka fajma`hu l¢ bira¦matika yā ar¦ama alrrā¦im¢na

do not deprive me of all that which I ask from You, and give me altogether all that which I have not asked from You. (Please do all that) in the name of Your mercy, O most merciful of all those who show mercy.

وَأسْألُكَ بِحُرْمَةِ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ وَبِحُرْمَةِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَبِحُرْمَةِ أهْلِ بَيْتِ رَسُولِكَ

wa as'aluka bi¦urmati wajhika alkar¢mi wa bi¦urmati nabiyyika mu¦ammadin ¥alawātuka`alayhiwaālih¢ wa bi¦urmati ahli bayti ras£lika

I also beseech You in the name of the sacredness of Your Honorable Face, the sanctity of Your Prophet Muḥammad, may Your blessings be upon him and upon his Household, and the sanctity of Your Prophets Household;

أمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيٍّ وَالْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ وَعَلِيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدٍ

am¢ri almu'min¢na Alīyyin wal¦asani wal¦usayni wa Alīyyin wa mu¦ammadin

namely, ʿAlī the Commander of the Faithful, al-Ḥasan, Al-Ḥusayn, ʿAlī, Muḥammad,

وَجَعْفَرٍ ومُوسَى وَعَلَيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيٍّ وَالْحَسَنِ

wa Jaʿfarin wa mūsā wa Alīyyin wa mu¦ammadin wa Alīyyin wal ¦asani

Jaʿfar, Mūsā, ʿAlī, Muḥammad, ʿAlī, al-Ḥasan,

وَالْخَلَفِ الْبَاقِي صَلَوَاتُكَ وَبَرَكَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمِ أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِمْ أجْمَعِينَ

wal khalafi albāq¢ ¥alawātuka wa barakātuka `alayhim antu¥alliya`alayhimajma`¢na

and the Remaining Successor; may Your benedictions and blessings be upon them all, (I beseech You in their names) to send blessings upon all of them,

وَتُعَجِّلَ فَرَجَ قَائِمِهِمْ بِأمْرِكَ وَتَنْصُرَهُ وَتَنْتَصِرَ بِهِ لِدِينِكَ

wa tu`ajjila faraja qā'imihim bi'amrika wa tan¥urah£ wa tanta¥ira bih¢ li d¢nika

hasten the Relief of their Rising Imām by Your permission, support him, betake him as the means of victory of Your religion,

وَتَجْعَلَنِي فِي جُمْلَةِ النَّاجِينَ بِهِ وَالْمُخْلِصِينَ فِي طَاعَتِهِ

wa taj`alan¢ f¢ jumlati alnnāj¢na bih¢ walmukhli¥¢na f¢ §ā`atih¢

and include me with those who shall be redeemed through him and those who act sincerely in obedience to him.

وَأسْألُكَ بِحَقِّهِمْ لَمَّا اسْتَجَبْتَ لِي دَعْوَتِي وَقَضَيْتَ لِي حَاجَتِي وَأعْطَيْتَنِي سُؤْلِي

wa as'aluka bi¦aqqihim lammā istajabta l¢ da`wat¢ wa qa¤ayta l¢ ¦ājat¢ wa a`§aytan¢ su'l¢

I also beseech You in the name of their right to respond to my prayer, grant me my needs, answer my requests,

وَكَفَيْتَنِي مَا أهَمَّنِي مِنْ أمْرِ دُنْيَايَ وَآخِرَتِي يَا أرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

wa kafaytan¢ mā ahamman¢ min amri dunyāya wa ākhirat¢ yā ar¦ama alrrā¦im¢na

and save me from whatever aggrieves me from the affairs of this world as well as the world to come. O most merciful of all those who show mercy!

يَا نُورُ يَا بُرْهَانُ يَا مُنِيرُ يَا مُبِينُ

yā n£ru yā burhānu yā mun¢ru yā mub¢nu

O Light! O Evident! O Granter of light! O Granter of evidence!

يَا رَبِّ اكْفِنِي شَرَّ الشُّرُورِ وَآفَاتِ الدُّهُورِ وَأسْألُكَ النَّجَاةَ يَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ

yā rabbi ikfin¢ sharra alshshur£ri wa āfāti aldduh£ri wa as'aluka alnnajāta yawma yunfakhu ril s£r

O Lord! (Please do) save me from all evils and from vicissitudes of time. I also beseech You for redemption on the Day when the Trumpet is blown.

يَا عُدَّتِي عِنْدَ الْعُدَدِ وَيَا رَجَائِي وَالْمُعْتَمَدَ وَيَا كَهْفِي وَالسَّنَدَ

yā `uddat¢ `inda al`udadi wayā rajā'¢walmu`tamadu wa yā kahf¢ walssanadu

O my means when I lack means! O my hope and my trust! O my haven and my support!

يَا وَاحِدُ يَا أحَدُ وَيَا قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أحَدٌ

yā wā¦idu yā a¦adu wa yā qul huwa allāhu a¦adun

O One! O One and Only! O (described in) Say: He is Allāh, the One.

أسْألُكَ اللَّهُمَّ بِحَقِّ مَنْ خَلَقْتَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَلَمْ تَجْعَلْ فِي خَلْقِكَ مِثْلَهُمْ أحَداً صَلِّ عَلَى جَمَاعَتِهِمْ

as'aluka allāhumma bi¦aqqi man khalaqta min khalqika wa lam taj`al f¢ khalqika mithlahum a¦adan salli `alā jamā`atihim

I beseech You in the name of those whom You created from among Your creations but You have not made anyone to be like them at all, (please do) send blessings upon them all
